Weekly Workouts

Onward + Upward

M: 4.43 mi @ 8:50/mi ave with J (1 part of usual group!) + 20 min full body strength (Callie)

T: 45 minute Power Zone endurance ride + 5 minute cooldown ride (Matt W)

W: 5 mi @ 9:13/mi ave in gorgeous sub-60F weather + 15 minutes dance music barre (Ally)

R: 5.57 mi @ 9:17/mi ave in (again!) great weather

F: 30 minute Holiday Ride (Leanne) and 20 minute Hanukkah Ride (Jenn S) + 15 minute strength for runners (Matt W)

S: 6 mi run @ 9:33/mi (78F “feels like” 82F on a December morning . . . sigh). But the longest pain-free run I’ve experienced in a while!!

S: 5 mi @ 9:01/mi (74F . . slight improvement?) + 20 minutes upper body strength (Callie) plus 30 minute classic rock ride (Ally) <– only did this bc it was a friend’s 1000th workout and she was live in the studio!!!


RUN: 26.05 miles over 5 days running. Almost a marathon. Kind of funny I was supposed to run a marathon today. I’m just really really happy to be on the upswing from this injury.

RIDE: 35.75 miles (3 days riding)

STRENGTH: 4 sessions, 70 min total (20 min full body, 15 min strength for runners, 15 min barre, 20min upper body)

This may be my most well-rounded week of fitness ever. (I’d still rather run 60mpw but this is a nice change of pace and probably good for me.)

    So glad your running is feeling better! I’m celebrating 18 weeks of being injury free and consistent exercise which feels so nice! It’s the longest I’ve gone without falling off the wagon in a great while.

    Oh! Dylan and I watched Erin Brockovich this weekend and she really liked it! I couldn’t figure out why it was rated R… I’ve also been reading I Feed Her to the Beast and the Beast is Me which is really fun if not high art. Oh, and Dylan just read The Good Girl’s Guide to murder if A-bell is looking for something fun!

      Ooh Erin Brockovich I loved that movie. Will add to queue. Awesome about being in a good workout groove!!

    I know… Wednesday and Thursday were incredible- glad those were running days for you! Yes, you really did have a well-rounded week. I can never seem to balance everything- this past week was great running-wise but strength was kind of lame. Oh well, tomorrow starts a new week!
