Hi everyone – had a decent night and just waiting on more imaging. Super tired but stable.
Since all is calm I wanted to share this show notes post because the guests were so lovely and I didn’t want to miss sharing their details. Going to rest more and maybe will have more answers in a day or so. Most importantly no crazy rhythms. Thank you for all the love! It means a lot!!
Today’s episide has a really fun and conversational chat with Azizi Williams and Malika Amandi, otherwise known as the Happier Ladies! These sisters started a podcast inspired by the work of Gretchen Rubin and Elizabeth Craft, and share a love for planning, experiments, goal setting, and accountability (to each other, as well as their listeners). Azizi and Malika share their favorite tools, planning rituals, and more.
Their podcast can be found here; Episode 60 + 61 (Festival of Planning!) is here and here, and the Notion template Malika shared is here.

So sorry you’re going through this health scare! Glad things seem to be stabilizing and hope you feel better soon.
It was a delight listening to this today. So sorry you’ve had such a health scare and hope all is better soon.
Thank you for posting, especially with your health situation in progress! So glad you are getting good care! Sending best thoughts!
Thanks for sharing this update! Have been so worried about you! I also had remembered a previous post or two where you’d talk about how your HR tracker was obviously way off (recording very high numbers) during your runs and now wondered if in hindsight maybe they were actually accurate? Though maybe that was just a malfunctioning tracker after all. Either way, so glad for this update and I’m praying you get answers that are clear AND allow you to continue running.
So glad you are getting the care you need! It’s funny to say (since we have never met) but you have been such a formative part of my late 20s/30s/transition-to-parenthood-and-different-stages-of-parenthood-life! So, I am feeling your health scare very deeply and praying for you! You are a cherished mother, wife, doctor, thought leader, friend, daughter, sister, neighbor – and special even outside of all your roles! We love you and hope you take all the rest you need!
I really enjoyed listening to this episode and plan on checking out this podcast. That remarkable pad sounds like something that might be a good fit for me. I like that I can convert written notes into text although I wonder if it could actually interpret my terrible handwriting. Ha! But then I saw the price tag and I don’t think I can justify it since I can buy a whole lot of notebooks for that same price!
I hope that you get more answers in the next day or so!
First, I hope you are feeling better and getting answers. Fingers and toes crossed that it is fixable or manageable. Second, thank you so much for this podcast episode — I loved it. Thank you for introducing me to Malika and Azizi — they are two smart, delightful women and I can’t wait to check out their podcast.
Thanks so much for posting a health update. I hope you get answers soon.
No, I would’ve not anticipated that someone out there hosts a podcast that drew inspiration from the Happier podcast that is hosted by Dr. Gretchen Rubin and Ms. Elizabeth Craft. And yes, I’ve also listened to the Happier podcast since 2021.
I can see now how Ms. Azizi Williams and Ms. Malika Amandi are able to blend paper planners and Google docs to make plans.
I’m glad that you’re recovering from this disease and is able to return home now, Dr. Sarah Hart-Unger. I also think that it makes sense that you take 2 weeks off from work. Indeed, the problem with those diseases that take months to recover as far as I’m concerned – besides making us sick, which sucks in its own right – is that even after we recovered from those sicknesses, we cannot always be able to pinpoint what it was that we did or did not do in the past that made us sick. I think that is something that we can discuss further only via emails, Dr. Sarah Hart-Unger.
Indeed, as I listened to the episode of BOBW on Mar 4, I cannot tell that you even have Arrhythmogenic Cardiomyopathy. The same is true for this episode, even though I already know about your conditions before I listened. I can imagine what amounts of efforts are required to take there. Nevertheless, if you need to take a rest, just take a rest. I won’t mind.
