BLP Ep #267: September Q&A: Planner News, Planner Peace from a SAHM, Work/Life Separation, and More

September 8, 2025

In today’s episode, I share some recent planner news, including price changes at Hobonichi (I compare my recent order to years prior), and the new Minimalist option available from Full Focus.

still 6″ x 9″, but thinner and one page per day instead of 2

Then, I answer Q&A, and share listener tips & planner peace submissions for September! Topics include:

  • Feedback from a teacher about separating work + life into different planner systems
  • Tip from Sara about using ToDoist as a way to remind her future self about upcoming tasks
  • Planner Peace (mostly digital!) from SAHM Ashley
  • Suggestions for compact planners designed to be used for just one month at at a time?
  • Advice for rebuilding one’s system after a life-changing medical event

To submit your questions, email me (sarah hart unger at gmail) or leave a comment in the show notes!

Just listened this morning. For the woman going through a medical event – no planner is going to make this sucky time less sucky, but I agree that moving to a more simple planner helped with expectations for myself during this time. My husband went through what sounds like a very similar impacting event, and it completely upended both our work/personal lives for 6m. However, I also wonder if there is a bit of depression going on (totally normal after a major medical event) and hope if so, she is getting the help she needs as that will be far more impact full than any planner.
