longest run in a while!

Done

8 mile long run – felt good! Last 2 miles were the fastest, last one at 9:20/mi. Definitely improving but speed is still not quite where I want it to be. Hoping cooler temperatures help eventually – today was 80F / 82% humidity at 6-7 am.

Week up on board – all the kids’ activities, PE days, dinner each night, etc.

Our menu this week – I often use PrepDish but decided to be even simpler this week:

  • M – tacos / taco salad
  • T – leftover tacos / taco salad
  • W – broccoli shells & cheddar (decadent & delicious)
  • R – leftover shells and/or rotisserie chicken, green beans, and grain (have this in the pantry)
  • F – assorted leftovers

Plan next week’s workouts – training plan runs x 4 / weights x 3, the combo that is currently feeling good

Still To Do

Clear desk / Sunday basket area

Clear gmail (currently have 12 messages so this isn’t as onerous as it sounds)

Prep water bottles/snacks for tomorrow but not lunches because they liked the school lunch and will be buying on at least Mondays hopefully . . . forever

Make stuff for brunch (very low key – doing bagels / lox / fruit / baked scrambled eggs)

FT parents + sister!

Read more of Paper Palace b/c book club is Thursday and I have ~280 pages to go. Oops.

Errands: Target (G earned her first sleep routine gift . . .) + Barnes & Noble

PS – yesterday was awesome, all 3 have gymnastics at once and all 3 seem to be into it! Miraculous. AND we managed a family sushi dinner out even though Josh was on call. Positive things . . .

A dinner out as a solo parent is a huge win. I have two active boys, ages 4 and 5. Chick Fil A without a meltdown when it’s time to leave is a proud parent moment for me.

School went back on Wednesday and I am working on a board for my 5 year old as the routine is slightly different everyday. He can’t read yet, so I ordered a downloadable visual schedule off etsy.

Josh came home in time to meet us! But yes I’ve done the meal out w all 3 and I do feel victorious when it goes well!

I just wanted to share in the joy of school lunches. My daughter bought hers for the first time Friday and I’m so excited for more! Though thanks to your suggestion of Family Fudge videos, she’s great about making her own lunch.

Catching up on yesterday but great run! And dinner out with the kids SOLO? Oh man that seems like a distant hope at 1,5,7…. But I know I’ll get there! 🙂 overall sounds like a super productive yet chill Sunday.

What board do you use for your family? With the second kid starting K in 2 weeks, there’s a lot more stuff to remember. Thanks!

I use an erin condren board but they have not been available forever! There are wonderful alternatives on Etsy.
