From the Air

20 minutes

= the amount of time I have on the free in-flight Wi-Fi! We are headed to Chicago for a big family party. 4 very brief updates:

1- Want a book that goes FAST? Look no further than Pineapple Street by Jenny Jackson, who went to Williams just one year ahead of me. Perhaps we took some English courses together (I believe I took 3 in addition to some English 101 thing: Introduction to the Novel, Modern Drama, and some feminist course focused on Sylvia Plath and Adrienne Rich come to mind — all were quite good and honestly fairly memorable 20 years later!).

excellent summer read

All that said, I don’t think I knew Jenny Jackson. Fun to think about, though.

2- I am slightly obsessed with one of my stress-induced planner buys from last week: inserts for Inkwell Press. I KNOW, disc bound!? Very unlike me. But I had an old cover and something about them piqued my interest, and you know what? I’m SUPER into it. I think my planner wanderlust (which set in right around June) is finally quenched. For now. I will share pix + discuss more in a future BLP ep, I am sure.

3- I signed up for Meghann Featherstun’s group nutrition course for late fall marathons! I admit that despite leading courses . . . I don’t think I’ve actually taken one. So this will be a learning experience x 2 for me. (On that note, today is the final day to sign up for Digital Detox if interested – we have a lovely group and if you are in it, expect an email from me with your zoom links + workbook tomorrow!).

4- Apparently we are about to go through some moderate turbulence so I will go back to Jenny Jackson and relax. (Laura taught me to visualize plane turbulence as “shaking in a bowl of Jello” which actually really does help!!)

We are on the same reading wavelength! I just finished Pineapple Street (loved it!) and I Have Some Questions For You (also really enjoyed it). I also just read Vacationland by Meg Mitchell Moore, and I think it was my favorite! I’ve had a lot of flights recently so lots of reading time. Enjoy your trip to Chicago!
