SNEAKING IN TWO UPDATES:

1- LOBSTER ROLLS turned out so well!! I was proud of us. And it was great having our Miami Beach friends over for the game (they stayed until half time, at which point I cleaned and went to bed. PERFECT.)

pre-baking (we followed this method) – this was 1 of 2 pans
baked salmon fish ‘n’ chips to represent Seattle
lobster roll prep . . .
New England didn’t win the game but they did win the culinary battle.
THESE WERE SO GOOD.

2- I registered for the reunion. YOLO. (Literally.) The spring is probably going to feel like madness, but it’s pretty much all FUN madness so . . let’s go!

Those lobster rolls look delicious. Also, nice biceps.

Also, I’m switching to clinical track and cutting my fte to 0.6 this July. I’m a mix of excited and worried that it will still be busier than I want. Also having trouble coming to terms with the << money even though we can afford it. But yay! The why — when my coordinator suddenly quit this winter I realized I was relieved that I would never have to deal with her again. She’s just one in a long line of people who have sucked to manage since I started doing this (maybe it’s me! Who cares, I hate it! — and it’s definitely not *just* me). Anyway. Yay!

Lobster rolls are the absolute best. I always make sure to have one on our annual summer trip to visit family on Cape Cod. However, we had 13 people at our house for the Super Bowl and I am too cheap to pay for that much lobster haha. My husband made a yummy New England clam chowder and we also had Cape Cod potato chips on the side (among other non-New England foods like roasted brussel sprouts, chips ‘n guac, etc) and Boston cream pie and Ben & Jerry’s ice cream for dessert so I was very satisfied with our New England culinary selections! No Seattle foods (husband is a huge Patriots fan so we were not neutral!).

[…] I’m behind on my numbers if I want to hit my goal of 75 books for the year. Not to worry- on this episode of SHU’s podcast she gives a February pep talk about not getting discouraged if the year is off to a slow start. […]
