Weekly Workouts:
M: 7 miles in Havertown (near Philadelphia). 9:31/mi. Hilly but much better weather than FL.
T: 7.15 mi (6 miles + 6 x 30 second hard uphill at end). Also in Havertown!
W: TM hill day! 3 mi warmup outside, then 8 x 2 minutes alternating 4 and 5% incline, 6.3 mph. 8.17 mi total + 20 min lower body strength (Callie)
R: 8 mi relaxed run, 10:16/mi
F: 5 mi a little faster than it probably should have been (I was in a mood), 9:11/mi. 20 min upper body strength.
S: 18 mi with 8 @ “desired MP”. Weather was gross AND I accidentally ran half a mile without restarting my watch, ugh! The faster miles went okay, but I did stop x 2 for gels and probably should have tried to just run through the fueling (ie take the gels while moving to simulate a race experience). Next time that will be my goal.
Average pace for the MP miles = 8:30/mi. Last 4 cooldown miles for 18 total:
S: Probably some strength for runners (nothing heavy/strenuous) and yoga.
TOTAL:
Miles: 53 // Strength: 2 x 20 min + whatever happens today!
PIX:
Date night outfit (double date @ Canyon in Ft Lauderdale – really liked it!) – I think I also had a version of this skirt in 1998. In the background: podcasting studio-and-closet. Which needs organizing.
Speaking of organizing: 15 minutes seems to be the right assignment to give myself. And just one small area/day. Desk before + after:
Rest of today:
Groceries (TJs)
Lunch in MB with Josh’s parents
Finish novel
Some mild travel planning
Last-minute camp prep (though almost done!) — A + C start their Monday-Friday sleepover camp experiences tomorrow. I am doing drop off – wish me luck!

You nailed it!!! Awesome week!
Yay! Observation: the above picture to my mind is straightening up/ resetting which is also for me very helpful for state of mind. But largely different from decluttering (getting rid of things that no longer serve) and organizing (deciding in general where things go, like putting all canned goods in one part of the pantry). Maybe one of those parts is more challenging for you? Or brings you more joy or??? I am very good at one offs, like taking a day to do a major organizing project, but daily upkeep is so much harder but arguably brings instant gratification. Hmmmm. (My problem is kid stuff mostly)
I did get rid of stuff, you just can’t see, really. But I also put things away / straightened – you are right!
Great week of workouts! I bet the cooler temps felt so great! We have had nice dry air here in MN this week and it makes such a huge difference. Being outside is much more pleasant! But ugh, I hate it when I forget to restart my watch!!
Hope sleepover camp goes well! I bet G will like having you guys to herself for the week!
At risk of sounding very annoying, can you tell me what shoes those are in your date picture? I have seen you wear them several times in pictures and love them! I realize that this is not a fashion blog, but perhaps you won’t mind answering this question!
totally not annoying. they are old and by the Flexx, a brand Lani (real-life-style) turned me on to! They are SUPER comfortable! But I don’t see this style anymore 🙁
And the black denim button down skirt in the wardrobe picture please! Just what I’ve been looking for. Love it!

Thank you!
i hope you have a better week and good luck with the drop!
Great workout week! Way to get out there!
I don’t know how you always manage to continue all your workouts with no interruptions even when traveling!!! 🤯🤯 I ended up working out ONCE on our cruise and now this week family is staying with us and I literally have not managed to work out a single time during the days they’ve been here. Everything just feels so chaotic and I guess I feel awkward going off in the morning even to work out instead of being around here as people get up etc. Hats off to you for making that work! I guess I will just need to get back in the saddle asap in a couple days after they leave…
Also, I love the idea of 15 minute declutters. Or 15 minute “anythings” for little projects I want to work on but never actually seem to have time to do…. I need to try this.
It helps that I am willing to go obscenely early – when everyone is asleep they don’t care if I’m running!
